First for those guest staying overnight we have replaced the ceiling fan in the bedroom. The white fan/ceiling light has been replaced with a new brown finish to compliment the decor.
Many guests enjoy a breeze over them as they fall into a deep relaxing restful night on the farm.
There are also those who do not realize that we have also installed a string of patio type lights on the back of the guesthouse for those wanting to sit outside on the picnic table and enjoy themselves maybe with a hot (or cold) beverge in the autumn Ozark evening.
If you are truly an adventurer of the night know we have now installed an LED dusk to dawn light out near the barnyard which can provide you with enough light to break the darkness if you are strolling the closer trails and stage area. The stage area is becoming a great place for folks to just sit and talk in the covering, sometimes even in the rain.
We hope you will be able to join us for the Social Saturdays on the Farm. Coming November 16th is our local talent, Shawn Stroup and his friends. All five will be sharing their acoustic abilities and original material. We are planning to serve Donna's famous chili recipe with the crowd and are sure the corn chips, cheese and onion toppings will compliment.
Our oldest, Joshua and his wife Brandy of Brandywine and the Mightfines from Boulder County CO will be here over Thanksgiving. We and others are pulling on them for a show or private performance. Their original and covers are sure to bring you delight.
And for Christmas we are being asked to do an evening of Christmas carol singing along with hot chocolate. What are your thoughts? Are you an oustide type of party goer?
Next year's plans include Cathy Schoonveld, aka Cathy Harmless Music, The Brenton Sterling Band doing a trial run of blues to test whether we think the interest is here for a weekend Blues Festival.
We get so excited about sharing time with guests here on the farm. Whether it is hosting a couple for their anniversary special getaway or food/music. Come join us for either or just a Saturday afternoon to walk in the woods enjoying some time on one of the benches and pondering the thoughts that come while you do the Trail of Petals.
