Fencing Decisions

So here is a question for our fellow farmers; Do we place the welded goat wire directly on the ground or slightly above to prevent rusting out? One end of this pen is down the hill with a small ravine for rain water.

Fencing. It really never ends on a farm.

Lilah our pyr is now five and one half years old and has decided she needs to escape and run for a few hours. To further complicate this, she does this at 9:30 at night.

So tday along with hay hauling, we put up some patch fencing to increase the height at which locations she has been jumping the fence. Let's see how this works.
